16 May, 2006 EMWD starts integration testing of Derceto software

Eastern Municipal Utility District (EMWD), in California, has entered into contract to implement Derceto. EMWD serves a 555-square mile area from Moreno Valley to Temecula, and from Hemet and San Jacinto, to Good Hope and Mead Valley. Approximately 530,000 people live and work in this area. EMWD operate with a combination of electric and gas powered pumps at many of their pumping stations. Derceto will determine the most economical pumps to run based on fluctuating prices for monthly gas purchases. Installation of the software is expected to start in March 2006.

Derceto - the environmentally friendly solution

Electricity production at night in the Ontario market is produced primarily by nuclear and hydro generation (70%) with the remainder coming from thermal plants. Day time peak production is the other way round. By maximizing use of night energy and improving pump efficiency Aquadapt substantially reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
