EMWD Derceto system goes live

The Moreno Valley sub-system of the Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is now fully under Derceto automatic control.

This has been by far the most complex Derceto implementation with numerous cross connected pressure zones, well fields, gas reciprocating engine driven pumps and major transfers to external zones.

The project site implementation phase started in July 2006 and took nearly 5 weeks to bring all pump stations under Derceto control.  The operators commented positively on the reduction in their need to constantly monitor this part of the system, freeing them up to handle customer queries and day-to-day operational requirements.  Expansion of Derceto into the next major subsystem at EMWD is now under discussion.
